(Analysis) What makes a ->
Data Hub
What makes a data hub is how many USB ports it has, the variance of the type of ports it has, the design of the hub, the length of it's wire and perhaps even it's brand name, since a data hub can involve sensitive information. All factors are to be considered to find which is one is best for you.
However it's not that difficult to choose as most people just want a data hub with a few more ports to add to their computers with a decent design and decent brand reputation. This is that hub for most people.
It's a great thing that it's not much money either. Anker's products are usually well priced and this hub is no exception.
Highlights
Pictures
Anker has some really nice helpful pictures.
My picture pales in comparison to Ankers but it does show they are not lying about it's great form factor.
The USB hub is fast but most people besides photographers don't care about that. If you are photographer or planning on being, it's a welcome bonus.

A lot of popular laptops have that slim beautiful design but they are lacking USB ports, this great gadget allows you to have it both ways. You can finally use your mouse and a flash drive.
How is it set up? Do I need anything else?
You plug the USB hub into a USB port in order to gain more USB ports. A USB port is that little rectangular hole in your computer.
Is there anything else to know?
No even if you impulse buy this thing, it will always be worth the $20, that's how good it is.

How To's and Extras
I recommend using a usb sd card reader with a wire along with this data hub, if you are a photographer who takes a lot of photos. This make it's so you can easily reach your sd card reader and move it freely while also having 3 more ports that you will probably also make use of.
You can buy a data hub with a sd card slot but you won't be able to reach it so well, doing the above makes it so it's like having a scale with the weight shown on a wired screen away from the scale itself, it's just better to do the above.
It says on Anker, you multiply by four but how do they know how many USB ports I have? I mean they were right but still.
