PlayStation Black Friday Sale

Updated on:

November 25, 2022 at 5:30:19 AM

The black friday has begun and there are some titles not to be missed. If you want me to review any particular game please let me know in the comments below.

Highlights of Sale

Tony Hawk's Skater 1-2 game bundle is on sale. I remember fondly the old ones so I may give this a try since I already got it free from downloading it this year, courtesy of my Playstation Subscription.

It's still most likely worth the $25 price tag since it is 2 games.

The legendary From Software trilogy is on sale on Playstation however I recommend buying it on Amazon since it's cheaper there. I don't know why Playstation chose to make their price higher than Amazon but to Playstation's credit this is perhaps one of the only highlights that is higher than Amazon's price. Also you still have to wait for your Amazon package.

Yugioh Master Duel is always free but I wanted to let anyone who is a yugioh fan know. Definitely try the game if you love yugioh but know it might not be the same as it used to be.

I still believe solo mode to be fun for everyone and will try to write a guide for new players to learn modern understandings of yugioh.

Another From Software masterpiece, Sekiro is on sale for lower price than on Amazon and instantly delivered on Playstation, so don't miss out if you never played it and wanted to. It's a difficult game but far more fair than the Souls Series in my opinion. It's also just a great game.

All Tiers of Playstation Plus are on Sale if you buy 12 months of them. A lot of companies do this all the time but only with gaming subscriptions can you feel truly secure about your investment.

1 game costs $60-70 these days and you will be able get new titles and old masterpieces with the Premium or Extra subscription.

Definitely use the free trial and 1 month plan to see how you like it but honestly the Extra and Premium subscriptions are really worth their weight in gold.

PlayStation Black Friday Sale

One of the best game of all time in my opinion, Nioh is on sale with along with all it's DLC for both Playstation 4 and 5.

Hard yet extremely gratifying, I believe it to be superior even to Sekiro. It's a shame Nioh 2 did not live up to my high expectations and I believe it to be inferior to the first, both games are still worth playing. I can say without a doubt Nioh 1 is a masterpiece.

Cyberpunk 2077 is both on sale and on trial for Playstation Premium members, I want to see why this game got so much hate so I'll definitely use my 5 hour trial to see. This game actually caused Sony themselves to take it down because it was not playable by their standards at the time of release.

Elden Ring is not currently on sale and hasn't been on sale to my knowledge, however, there is hope that on Black Friday it will finally be discounted. If Elden Ring is discounted by $1, I will buy it along with many others.

Another game that generated a lot of controversy, but deserving so, Grand Theft Auto Trilogy is on sale. I've played the games when they were on the Playstation Catalog, but now only Vice City remains. It deserved the criticism admittedly, however I did still have fun playing despite the flaws because I never played Grand Theft Auto 3 before, perhaps you will feel the same but try out Vice City on the Catalog first.

The Graphics are hilariously terrible though in my opinion.

Even more important than Elden Ring, Stray is actually on sale, however do not buy it because it is also on Playstation Extra/Premium.

Stray is a spiritual successor of Elden Ring if you believe everything on the internet.

A game that needs not be introduced yet keeps introducing itself, Skyrim is on sale yet again. You can buy the VR iteration however you will need VR equipment to experience Skyrim like never before once again for the millionth time unless you never played it of course.

What the hell is this Doki Doki Literature Club, I've heard of it to be an adult game however it calls itself the #1 Psychological Horror Experience? I may buy it only to find out what exactly this game is.

How to buy games on Playstation

1. First go to store.playstation.com and search for the game you want to buy.

2. On the game title see if it's already included in the subscription, it will say if it is. If it's not included because it just came out but it's a game you want, you can buy the game. If it's already included you can buy some add-ons or DLC you may wish to buy.

3. Scroll down to Add-Ons and click show more if you aren't seeing what you want to buy. Click add to cart when you find what you want to buy.

4. You may be asked to sign-in before buying and it will ask you to confirm purchase after you click add to cart.

5. Buy the item if you want, if you are having trouble buying by getting an error message
"Please check your credit/debit card information and try again"; just fire up your Playstation console and update or add your information there.

6. Profit? If you are still having trouble understanding you can check out

All about Playstation Plus Subscriptions

All the subscriptions are great, but you are kind of missing out if you don't have at least have the Extra Tier subscription.

The essential tier gives you access to online multiplayer and 2 monthly games that sometimes are really great, and usually are games worth giving a spin. This month (November 2022 at time of writing) gives you access to Nioh 2, a great game but I like Nioh 1 way better.

The extra tier gives you access to everything the Essential does as well as a very large variety of games and even periodically updates that already sizable catalog. From titles such as the Bloodborne to even games like Stray there is something for everyone.

The Premium tier gives you access to everything the Extra does however it isn't notably better but it's price increase is quite small. If there is a classic game you want to experience or you want to stream games, it's not bad to have. You can also use game trials to test drive a controversial game.

Video games have the highest value of anything in the world. For a relatively low amount you can experience some of the greatest content in the world. Now with subscriptions you can experience all that for such a low amount.

Even if you played one good game in an entire year with your subscription, it's almost always worth it even if you ended up paying $60 for that yearly subscription because regular games have always costed $60 or so.

Game subscriptions are perhaps one of the few guaranteed good subscriptions, kind of like Amazon Prime, maybe even better than it.
